Engineering biology will drive innovation and company growth across many different sectors and applications, creating impact across society. Working closely with publics and communities throughout the innovation and product lifespan we will identify and address the social and ethical questions that may be raised by certain applications to understand and manage risks and mitigate against harm. Learnings will be shared across all stakeholders involved in the innovation process so that they are aware of those risks and are encouraged to act responsibly. Widespread confidence in engineering biology-derived products will in turn attract more firms, talent and investment, bringing benefits to the economy for societal good.
