We are committed to contributing sustainable and resource-efficient solutions to societal challenges, which will only be achieved through adoption and use of our outputs. Our Network will support its members and the broader engineering biology community in developing the scientific, technical and entrepreneurial skills needed to support research, product development and commercialisation, enabling them to grow and scale up emerging applications to achieve significant economic and social impact. As part of our responsible approach to research and innovation we encourage researchers to consider all avenues for realising these impacts, which is often through commercialisation or licensing of IP.
If you are looking for an academic collaborator with expertise in a particular area of engineering biology, please get in touch by contacting sarah.coy@eng.ox.ac.uk. We are keen to connect with like-minded individuals interested in entering the field or progressing joint ventures. We work closely with Oxford University Innovations which has a dedicated startup incubator as well as having connections with bioincubators and bioaccelerators elsewhere. Likewise, if you are interested in licensing our IP please get in touch.
